We are looking for a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist who's interested in working in systemic and innovative ways to best improve the outcomes of children and young people. We would particularly welcome those that actively demonstrate an interest in increasing young peoples' participation in shaping CAMHS delivery. BABCP accreditation is required for Band 7 positions, but we would also welcome applications from those at Band 6 and appoint at Band 6 until accreditation.
Our team has strong links to universities and researchers and is actively developing a new stepped-care model, including specialist clinical groups for OCD and trauma. A key advantage of working in secondary care is the chance to work alongside and learn from highly specialist nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists (with trainings in systemic, DBT, creative, analytic and CBT). Within Sussex CAMHS we have a strong psychology and CBT team. You will be well-supported with training and CPD, and opportunities for career development.
We operate a pathways model and you would hold some clinical lead responsibilities within these, including decision-making around treatment options, and supervision of low intensity CBT practitioners and trainees. You would also play a lead role in our group interventions.
