Following refurbishment of our OPMH Inpatient wards, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recovery Worker to join the Inpatient Older Person's Mental Health wards based at Gosport War Memorial Hospital.
The post involves providing recovery for older people experiencing a wide range of acute mental health conditions who have been admitted to the inpatient unit for a period of assessment and treatment.
We are seeking candidates with life experience and who has a passion for working with older people. You need to be enthusiastic, hardworking, honest and reliable to complement our established team.
You will be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, who has a flexible approach/attitude and has experience of working in mental health.
You will work within a compassionate team, lead by a supportive Ward manager and Therapy lead. You will be required to work independently as well as part of the team. Part of this role will be to engage with our patients to work towards a successful outcome for their discharge.
We have full and part time duties available. Providing a seven day a week service, working early shifts - 07:00 to 15:00 and late shifts - 13:00 to 21:00
The successful candidate will receive regular supervision and appraisal. A willingness to undertake training relevant to the post is essential.
