Purchasing & Quality Assurance Specialist

Summary

The Purchasing & Quality Assurance Specialist oversees the Global supply chain and manufacturing purchasing, of raw materials, packaging, supplies & equipment parts, strategic sourcing, negotiating pricing, contracts & terms and quality control and assurance.

Plan and achieve strategic sourcing goals.
Manage material planning and procurements by ensuring that materials are properly ordered, processed, and delivered on time.
Conduct material pricing research amongst vendors and negotiate terms considering lead-times, operational capacity, delivery, and payment terms.
validate and manage all ocean / air freights, import documents, U.S. custom, brokers including tariff accuracy.
This position will be responsible for overseeing the entire cycle of the purchase order,
Track and resolve production material shortages.
Maintain updated records of purchase orders, receipt of delivery, purchase order invoices, and shipping fees.
Make sure the company is in compliance on all aspects of Quality Assurance to keep our certification intact.
Make sure the quality control of the product is to our specs.

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook
Knowledge using Database ERP systems such as Macola
Professional communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to analyze and interpret Data
Ability to manage and meet deadlines

Education/Experience preferred:

Bachelor’s degree or some college degree plus work experience
2+ years in a purchasing or business-related environment
Knowledge in Quality control and assurance
