Position Overview & Specifications

We are currently seeking Residential care workers for our client in the Rugeley. Our client's home provides quality care for young people between the ages of 8-18 years with learning difficulties and/or behavioural challenges.

As a Residential Care Worker, you will provide a nurturing, therapeutic environment and care, support, and supervision to help the children and young people progress. This includes household tasks, cooking, shopping, laundry, and independent living skills.

Key responsibilities:

Adhere to statutory and company policies and procedures.
Be a Key Worker where designated and contribute to the child or young person’s plan.
Work within the safeguarding and child protection guidelines.
Work restoratively with the child or young person.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with parents, social workers, school staff, and other professionals.
Ensure young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive.

Person specifications:

Evidence of successfully working with children and young people.
High degree of resilience.
Good communication skills.
QCF Level 3 – Working With Children & Young People (or equivalent) is desirable.
Driving Licence (manual) for a minimum of 2 years is desirable.
