Our Meallmore team at Leven Beach are ready to warmly welcome you as a Care Assistant within their care home. Located on the promenade of the seaside town of Leven in Fife, Leven Beach enjoys picturesque views across the Firth of Forth, adding to the charm of its location. This purpose-built care home provides high quality, personalised nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia and its related conditions.
Our mentorship programme and ongoing learning and development will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career whether that be as a Senior Care Assistant or a Senior Care Practitioner, the choice is yours!
If you’re not already working as a care assistant, you will be required to register to the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council), Meallmore will support you with this process.
Your role as a Meallmore Care Assistant will include:- To promote/provide a high quality of care and support in accordance with Individual care/support plans.
- To assist in creating wellbeing within a caring environment and be involved in the general activities of the home.
- To adhere to Meallmore Standards, Policies and Procedures, National Care Standards.
- To work in line with the SSSC codes of Practice.
- Collaborate with care staff in your department and wider teams.
- Carry out personal care duties.
Desirable skills:
- Working towards the qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements.
- SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (as per SSSC guidelines) is desirable.
- Communication and repour building skills.
- Kind caring nature.

Salary: £10.50 - £10.60 per hour (depending on experience) + overtime rates + benefits
Hours: 46 hours per week, day shift – can alternatively be two 23-hour positions if you are looking for a part time position.
