JOB DESCRIPTION

SOCIAL WORKER

Salary:

£32,306 - £39,027 (Band 6 Social Worker scale)

Hours:

36 hrs per week

Contract:

One Year Contract with immediate effect, and with a view to a possible extension based on the needs of the College.

Responsible to:

The Principal through the Vice-Principals & Designated Teacher for Safeguarding and Child Protection.

Essential Criteria:

Hold a recognised professional Social Work qualification
Registered with NISCC
Current full driving licence with access to a car on appointment
Have 3 years post qualifying experience
Experience of multidisciplinary working with children and families
Are committed to regular supervision and complete Professionals in Practice (PIP) requirements in line with NISCC registration
Can demonstrate an understanding of the specific challenges of Children who are looked after in a school setting
Can demonstrate and understanding of the specific challenges of vulnerable children in a school setting

Desirable Criteria:

Have experience working with a range of stakeholders, including community and voluntary organisations
Can demonstrate high impact could be measured in the role
