We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking Yard Sales Assistant at our Harlow Bros Branch in Nottingham. This is a fast-paced working environment working within a well-established team.
Harlow's has recently transitioned from a family-owned business to an Employee-owned business. The Harlow family wanted to ensure that the ethos and service which has been a major factor in the company’s success, would continue for decades to come. An Employee Ownership Trust will ensure this and enable business to continue as usual for both customers and staff.
We are looking for someone with the following experience/qualifications:
- Ability to identify and locate products quickly and accurately
- Ability to provide a courteous and professional approach to customers
- Ability to self-motivate, organise, and execute tasks
- Ability to work safely and cleanly
- Timber knowledge - desirable
- Machine capability - desirable
- Forklift License - desirable
The hours of work are Mon-Fri 7:30am to 5pm, alternate Saturday mornings 8am to 12pm.
Overtime payable after 39 hours a week.
You will report to the Branch Management team.
As a Yard Sales Assistant your primary responsibilities would be:
- To provide a prompt, polite, helpful, and professional service to customers in branch and at delivery destinations, always promoting a positive company image
- Identifying, picking, processing, and issuing goods accurately and to deadlines, working from written pick notes and job sheets
- Manual rack filling with timber and sheet materials
- Housekeeping of warehouses and yard
