Permanent

Salary: £55,000 to £57,000 depending on experience

Working either as part of a wider programme or project team you will be responsible for leading teams to delivery strategically significant change projects, ensuring delivery of multiple objectives and benefits to an agreed time, cost and quality, from initiation to completion, ensuring full alignment to the business stream and wider business strategy. This role also relies on excellent stakeholder management, working closely with sponsors and change managers, to influence change across the business at all levels of the organisation, with the goal of full delivery of benefits by maximising adoption.

As an experienced project manager you will have strong examples of delivering complex projects, coaching and developing team members, working with external/government regulation and also 3rd party contract management.

Plan & Develop the Project Idea–Work with internal and external stakeholders, as required, to identify all key problems, evaluating potential solutions, define scope and create action plans for the project.

Support the project team–support the team of cross functional individuals capable of delivering the project goals, on cost and on time. This includes the need to build strong relationships with the team, motivating while maintaining accountability for tasks.

Project Delivery– own, create and maintain an accurate end to end timeline for the project, ensuring tasks have owners and are completed to the required quality. Must have an awareness of progress and also proactively react to delays as needed.

Solving Problems – Need to independently work to resolve problems as they arise, anticipating further issues and mitigating as appropriate. Not every problem can be solved but project managers are responsible for escalating high impact problems to the right person, for them to be solved.

Stakeholder Satisfaction–Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, initiating open lines of communication to provide updates and feedback.

Evaluate and Report on Project Performance–Throughout the project the project manager should be maintaining the required standard for task completion, identifying opportunity to improve and recognising good achievements of the team. They are also responsible for reporting progress to sponsors and other appropriate governance structures.
